Emaleigh and her family are local to the area. She is currently a senior at Union County Highschool and will be graduating in just over a month. Her family wanted senior portraits taken to document this milestone Emaleigh has accomplished.

GO PANTHERS!!!

She had just returned that same day from her spring break trip. We started her session in a beautiful pink floral sundress for her formal portraits. The location we chose was the Hunter-England Cabin & Historic Homestead in Blairsville, GA. It's conveniently located right next to the Farmer's Market and just minutes from the downtown square. I've been coming to this location for quite some time, as my very own family portraits were taken at this same location just shortly after our move to the area nearby. Built in 1832, it's a dainty little spot, as it offers a rustic wooden fence, historical log cabin, shed, and small pole barn, along with some antique tractor machinery. This truly is an iconic part of Blairsville's history, as it's claimed to be the oldest dwelling in Union County. The trees, creek, and field enhance the surroundings for some beautiful photos as well.

We started on the front porch of the historic log cabin. It took Emaleigh no time to relax and just have fun, not to mention her parents joking personalities to add to the session. I love when clients feel this way. There's nothing worse for a client than to feel uncomfortable, in whatever regard that may be. We chatted some before, but conversation was key throughout the session.

Emaleigh's spunky personality was shining through and I loved it. You can definitely see her comfort in the candid moments we captured. She was willing to try any poses I suggested.

We got some more shots in the shade next to the cabin, then she added the cap and gown. I had Emaleigh pose with the gown unzipped to show her beautiful dress, as well as zipping it up for a more formal look. My personal favorite is when the senior tosses the cap toward the camera; it only took a couple of attempts to nail this one perfectly.

After we snapped all the photos with her dress, she changed into a more casual outfit of boots, jeans, and a blouse. Although Emaleigh prefers a soft tshirt and comfy sweatpants, changing into the jeans and boots was definitely more her style for our session. Jokingly, her parents shared comments about how much her uncle cuts up with her about being "country." So of course we had to capture some moments that showed this.

While doing Emaleigh's session, I was quick to learn that she has excelled in her academics, earning acceptance into University of North Georgia. She has worked simultaneously during her senior year to earn her certification as a nursing assistant. Her intention with this was to further advance her in the medical field. She plans to major in nursing and ultimately become a pediatric surgeon.

Congratulations sweet girl; I can't wait to follow your journey to success!
