FAQ

What to Wear?

Of course location and weather are determining factors. Pants vs. dress? While both can be leveled in formality, you'll want to consider the style of the session taking place. Sleeve lengths tend to be a question as well. While longer sleeves create a slimming effect for arms, shorter sleeves/thinner straps are more revealing. If you would rather not add highlight to your arms, look for an option with a longer length or 3/4 length sleeve.

Try to refrain from anything with logos or large print characters on clothing. Not sure what color scheme to go with? Neutral and earth tones are always flattering and compliment all skin tones. When deciding on which color scheme to go with, decide first on who will be wearing the anchor color and what that color will be. This will make coordinating outfits much easier.

If you are interested in utilizing a dress from my client wardrobe, I'm happy to add styling further. Additional dresses are also available for rental. Be sure to inquire about a list of available dresses from vendor I collaborate with. These are gorgeous gowns and alleviate the frustration in contemplating which dress to wear. Most dresses are available in a range of sizes and are flattering, regardless of dress size.

A Little Something More?

What to Wear? (HIM)

This is a time for the men to choose their best pieces also! Long pants are the best choice. It's best that all of his selections are fitted and flattering. Look through my color palette to help with what tones to choose. Neutral tones such as grey, cream, or khaki pants are amazing choices. Solid coloring is excellent for the camera and when trying to coordinate with others in your group. Nevertheless, be sure to have him match your level of formality.

Confidence & Style Together

It's important that you are going to feel comfortable with your appearance and what you decide to wear. If little ones are a part of your party, you might be sitting or crouching down as you interact with one another. This is important when choosing the length of your dress, so as unwelcomed areas are not revealing. Floor-length gowns are recommended for the sweet mamas-to-be. This style of dress will flatter your beautiful bump and create a magical feel during your session.

How to Tie it all Together?

Once you decide on the color for your dress, then you can build the family around that and throw in some neutrals. If your dress is neutral, then use your daughter or son's outfit to build around. Once you know the anchor color, then you will know if you should accent the other pieces with either warm or cool tones. The goal is for your pieces to fit together, not necessarily all be wearing the same color.
